Here_we_go.Again

I hope being capable of making committs very soon. The real life has been plenty of disturbing news last months. Best said, now I pretty know what an annus horribilis is.

  • 2007. April. Our little publishing project is down. Our money income is over. I have to look for the help of social services, just to have food.
  • 2007. June. My girlfriend is no more my girlfriend. She moves to another house.
  • 2007. August. I move to another house.
  • 2007. November. I had work. Hard, 24×7 tech support. Lots of extra hours. Lots of stress. 6 weeks with the 24×7 cell phone in my pocket. My (new) girlfriend and me are involved in a short movie with a tale I wrote more than 10 years ago. It’s great being very active and happy again.
  • 2008. January. We sold “our” house. I had no much money yet, so I was capable of giving some money to my friends, my own “salvation army” with care, new therapies (sorry, links in Basque but the pics are interesting), patience and -last but not least- food and money. And lots of alcohol.
  • 2008. February. The dsl connection arrives to my house, but I must to look for another place to move. Great.
  • 2008. June. I have all my stuff -more or less- in its place, and I have dsl connection. My father (82) needs 10 days at hospital. The day he is at home again, June 14th, my mother (81) suffers a heart attack. She was in the Intensive Care Unit until June 27th, when she passed away.
  • I have to do some hand work to give my main dev system net access. The automatic messages from The Grim Reaper add some stress to me, but I haven’t found the moment of putting my committ-bit in safe keeping because it’s a link with the very good things that I had before my own annus horribilis started. Being part of the FreeBSD developer community, assuming my humble work of translator and mainly translationmeister of just a few translators into Spanish, is a great thing to be.
